Emotions in Caregiving: Anger Wednesday, October 23rd 3pm to 4pm
In this workshop on caregiver emotions, we will explore the powerful and often misunderstood emotion of anger. Caregiving can evoke feelings of frustration, whether it’s directed at family members, medical professionals, or even yourself. We’ll define anger, discuss its purpose, and explore how to handle it in a healthy way that supports your well-being. Through open conversation and reflection, you’ll learn to embrace anger as a tool for growth rather than viewing it as something negative.
Self-Talk with Kaley Johnson Tuesday, October 29th 7:30pm to 8:15pm
Self-talk is the internal dialogue we have with ourselves, influenced by our
subconscious mind, revealing our thoughts, beliefs, questions, and ideas. During
this session, we will explore how cultivating positive self-talk can significantly
enhance our well-being. We will learn and understand how to create and practice
empowering self-talk. We will highlight its numerous health benefits. We’ll also
learn strategies to transform negative thinking patterns into positive narratives
that inspire us to become the best versions of ourselves.
It’s crucial to recognize that self-talk can swing between positive encouragement
and demotivating narratives. By building awareness and tuning into this internal
conversation, we can actively shape our mindset.
Join us as we explore how positive self-talk can be a transformative tool in the
lives of caregivers and beyond.
